Blue/Splash Bantam Cochin Hatching Eggs

The Blue/Splash Bantam Cochin is a delightful ornamental breed prized for its fluffy feathering, gentle personality, and beautiful blue and splash plumage. Their compact size, feathered legs, and calm disposition make them an excellent choice for anyone looking to add beauty and charm to their flock.

Beautiful Blue & Splash Plumage

Blue/Splash Bantam Cochins are admired for their soft, fluffy appearance and stunning feather colors. Blue birds display an elegant slate-blue plumage, while splash birds feature mostly white feathers accented with irregular blue markings, making each bird unique. Their heavily feathered legs and rounded bodies give them the classic "ball of feathers" appearance that has made Cochins one of the most recognizable ornamental breeds.

Calm, Friendly & Family Favorite

These bantams are well known for their exceptionally gentle and affectionate personalities. They enjoy human interaction, making them wonderful pets for families and children. Their quiet, easygoing nature also allows them to integrate well into small backyard flocks, where they add both beauty and personality. Although they are not prolific layers, hens produce a steady supply of small light brown eggs throughout the year.

Management Notes

Blue/Splash Bantam Cochins are easy to care for and thrive in secure backyard coops and protected free-range environments. Hens are well known for their strong broody instincts and make excellent mothers, often hatching and raising not only their own chicks but also those of other breeds. Their feathered feet should be kept clean and dry, especially during wet or muddy weather, to maintain healthy plumage. With proper care, Blue/Splash Bantam Cochins will reward their owners with gentle companionship, beautiful feathering, and lasting ornamental appeal.
